Hi

Was thinking of getting the RER into central paris to do all the usual tourist sights.

What is the best ticket to get for using the metro to get around, how easy is it go from say the lourve to eifelle tower to Arc De Triomphe, notra dam etc, is there an equilvent of a 1 day travel card or something, what stations do i need for these places?

Sorry for so many Q's

If you buy a mobilis ticket for zones 1-5 it will cover you for travelling round in Paris too. I don't know the names of the stations offhand but it's very easy to get around on the metro - if I can manage it anyone can! :rotfl2:

I agree with Elaine the metro is so straight forward and so is the RER. Go to rapt's website, which is also availible in english and theres a handy printable map but theres also a great interactive map. We did a dummy run of where we planned to visit before we left for Paris using the interactive map and it tells you journey lenght and about any ongoing works at stations etc.

Thanks for the reply's, I think the mobilis ticket is the way forward then, will purchase one when i get to disney.

we also used that ticket last week, also if you ask at the info point outside the station they gave me a very handy pocket map which had train stations on one side and a paris street map on the other
