Requests for seating?

Are the restaurants accomodating if you request and are willing to wait for a specific seating area? We are a party of 2 and I thought there might be specific tables that only held 2 that we would be seated at. I am particulary interested in getting a table by the boat ride at San Angel Inn.

For parties of 2, you most likely will be seated at a table of two. Most of the time, the restaurants are trying to maximize their seating so it makes sense to sit a party of 2 at a table of 2.

We've yet to go to San Angel Inn, but I am sure if you ask for a seat by the ride, they will try to accomodate you.

Good luck and enjoy!

That's what I was thinking too about the tables for 2. My DS and I went in March 2009 and sometimes we were seated at a table for 2 and sometimes 4.

I got a 3:30 ADR for San Angel Inn as well and I'm hoping that will be a better time of day to get the table we want.

Thanks for your response.

I think it totally depends on the cast member. Ive never actually requested a seating area but some cms are more accommodating than others some are just like you take what you get. But personally I dont see whats wrong with it if you are willing to wait a bit longer if necessary.

I've only requested a table once and the CM was very accommodating. We were dining at Tony's Town Square and we wanted a table out on the patio because our ADR was right in time for the afternoon parade down MS. There were 4 of us (2 adults and 2 kids) and they even went as far as moving the table so that the girls could both sit and face Main Street to watch the parade while DH and I both sat on each end. When we dine there again in September, DH wants to sit outside again but I keep telling him that it was just a request and we were lucky last time....if we are inside this time that is o.k. too.

You should be able to request a water-view table at San Angel and wait for one to become available. This is a common request, and I'm sure they'll be willing to honor it unless it's just extremely busy that day.

I'm picky about my tables (must have window seat at 'Ohana, Sanaa, and Cali Grill!), and Disney has been very accommodating. The only really tough ones are the patio seats at Tony's during something like the MNSSHP parade or at Rose and Crown during the fireworks. Those are catch as catch can.
