Requests for DLH?

Any requests I should make for a standard view in DLH? And are there daybeds/rollaways available? Thank you!!

I've learned from staying at the DLH for conferences to ask for a room that will accomodate 5 people. The double occupancy rooms I have stayed in lacked the daybed and felt smaller - and I've stayed in the three different towers. When I stay there for pleasure, we say there will be five people in the room even if there are only four (sometimes a daughter's friend will join us last minute) and have always had the daybed.

Okay great! Thank you!!

Are the daybeds available in all three towers? I know they have them in GCH but only in rooms that overlook the parking lot and I would be willing to sacrifice the daybed for a better view/tower. So any tower I should request in hopes of anything but a parking lot view? :goodvibes

I've stayed in each of the towers, both city and view rooms, and have had daybeds in each room (as stated before, when we had a party of five). Not sure what the room allocations are for rooms with or without daybeds are.

I'm sorry I don't think my question was clear. I was wondering if people here have found a preference for a certain tower? Maybe one tower offers standard views without parking lot views or one offers better views? Or one is closer to some things etc.?

So does anyone have any suggestions? Thank you!

I'd actually recommend the Magic tower, facing the parking lot! Why? Because this is the wonderful fireworks show we got from our room:

You can even see some of the effects in DL from our room. The castle changing colors, and effects on mainstreet. Which you can see in that third picture even. We loved it for a standard room!

Wow that is really cool! I have to make note of that for future trips! Thank you for the pics and info! For this time around however we won't be in the room during fireworks times, so I'd rather not have a parking lot view.

The other standard room we've had was in the Wonder tower, facing another parking lot. That one was way worse. We could see PP, and the parking lot. So even without fireworks I prefered the Magic tower, at least I could see parts of DTD, and over on top of DL.

I believe there are some standard rooms in the Dreams tower, facing DTD. Only they'll have obstructed views, or too low to see much.

Trying to think if there is any other standard room options... Maybe you'll get lucky and get a free upgrade. We had that happen once and got a pool view in the Magic tower. That was quite nice!

Right now we are in the magic tower. This is our view:

I orginally booked a standars room but was upgraded to a pool view. :)

Was told that Premium category is upper level either pool view or downtown Disney view(I think that is called Resort)????

Guess the pools are crowded in August????

Do you find there are an abundance of places to eat? I'm only familiar with the restaurants at Disney Florida....Love all the choices there!:dance3:

What do you think is the advantage of staying at Disneyland Hotel?

Proximity to Downtown Disney? How far walking?

How are restaurants Downtown Disney?

There is a monorail from Downtown Disney to the parks?

Your view looks very lovely! Enjoy your stay! Appreciate any feedback you can give...:dance3: :dance3: :dance3: Thanks!
