We're planning a vacation with another family and don't really want a 2 BR (privacy, not planning to cook, as well as stretching points) so would like 2 studios.
From searching previous posts it looks like there are no adjoining studios at many resorts, including BLT where we plan to stay for half the trip; we may also stay at BCV or BWV.

I'm wondering, though, if we ask MS for 2 studios close to each other, how likely or unlikely is it that we'll get them? Has anyone here requested 2 studios close to each other and gotten them? Or has anyone who's made that request gotten 2 faraway studios?

When we had a GG at BWV I needed a 2 bedroom and 4 studios. The 2 bedroom and the 3 studios were standard view, only 1 preferred view. They were all in the same area, very close to each other.

At the VWL, we have had the dedicated studios at the end of the hall, some have the dumpster view, but those studios were either across the hall or right next to each other. That's happened a few times.

At VWL , we have had numbers that were sort of near each other, but on different floors!

I think they do their best, but sometimes it doesn't work out.

This was granted twice for me. Once during the December in OKW and we checked in at 2 in the morning so I was worried. The other time was at Saratoga springs, I had a 2 bedroom. My mother and cousin both had studios and everyone checked in on different days. We were all on the same floor near each-:thumbsup2other

Reqested 2 studios at OKW. Got them in the same building, one on the 1st fl and another on the 2nd fl right above and below each other.

blt goes up - so the area of each floor is pretty small.

probably the most separate you would be up or down a floor - maybe 2.

tbink you and your guests would be fine.

Last August we requested to have two studios close to each other and we got it. My brother was one floor right above us.

This August we requested again two studios at VB to be close together and two studios to be close together at WLVs. Both times we got it. So far it has worked for us well.

We requested this one time at BCV. My parents were coming in a few days after us and wasn't sure if the different check in days would hurt the chances of being close.

Wish was granted, we were on the same floor, down the hall from one another. :thumbsup2

So I think they try to accomodate this when possible..

Not granted...

We went through the Grand Gathering process for our party of 11--hoping to get all our villas close to one another. Close, as in same building? Nope. At check in we were scattered all over the place. I argued the fact that I had a "Grand Gathering" and was told we would try to be placed close to one another. After 45 minutes at check in, we were all given villas in the same section, 2 villas were in the same building. I just felt that someone dropped the ball and this could all have been avoided if someone had payed attention to our reservations.

Same expieriece on another trip a few years back. This time we booked rooms through CRO but were also part of a GG. No luck that time either. Had to wait until the next day to move closer. That was very frustrating!

Just go with the attitude that you'll most likely have to "fix" your room locations at check in.

Not granted for us either. BWV. We were the last studio near jelly rolls and my daughter was in a studio near the tennis court/quiet pool. We could not have been any further away. However, we were on the same floor -- first.

I guess you could say yes as both studios where on the same floor at SSR but on complete opposite sides of the building.

I wouldn't say the request is necessarily "ignored". If there are not alot of checkouts on your arrival day, there might not be 2 rooms close together to assign to you.

I'm sure it depends on your check-in day, but ours was granted. We had two dedicated studios right next door to each other at BWV. I am sure we got lucky, but I think if they can do something, they will try for you.

I thought Disney has done away with requests alltogether.

I read that was at AKV-Jambo value rooms. Since the view is not guranteed, most folks are requesting a view. (At least that's how I understand the thread)

Granted. I just did this at BWV in June in two studio's and we were 3 doors away from each other, giving the fact that the doors in between are the one bedroom portions at BWV, that's pretty close.

It worked out really great being it was myself, my DD, her BFF and her BFF's mom. The mom's and daughters shared a room, and it was more comfortable for all of us. We LOVED it, it was an AWESOME way to celebrate their 21st birthday!

Last July, we had two studios at OKW and they were in the same building just on opposite sides (which really wasn't an issue).

In October, we had a 2 bedroom suite and 2 studios at OKW. The studios were on Old Turtle Pond Road and the 2 bedroom suite was on South Point Road. We tried to move to get them closer but there was nothing that worked.

Like others have said, I think it really depends on the room availability when you check in.

I'm sure they will do their best to accommodate you.

We booked a 2 br and 2 studios once at BCV and were on the same floor right by each other.....I agree with other posters that they do think they try to place you near each other...but it does depend on your check in day
