This may be a silly question, but I'm a very picky eater. It's has gotten better over the past couple of years, but I'm still very hesitant about trying new food. I've been reading menus and looking at pictures of everything, and I was wondering if I could request something without something in it. Like the Chicken Pot Pie from 50's Prime Time Cafe, it looks delicious but it also has mushrooms in it  So can I ask for no mushrooms in it?

Also do they enforce the rule of only kids can eat off the kids menu? I don't eat a lot (I'm the kind of person who eats the salad that comes with the meal and I'm full) and I feel bad if we pay a lot of money for my meal and I don't even eat half of it. This happened when we went last time. We ate the dinner buffet at Whispering Canyon Cafe and they only thing I ate was a chicken breast. Luckily they didn't charge me for an adult price, but I still felt guilty having my parents pay that much for 1 piece of chicken :sad1:

Thanks!

OK the pot pie I assume you couldn't request without mushrooms as its probably ready prepared and cooked then when the orders come in but worth asking because some mains its easy to do. For example salads without items are easy to adjust or some meals without sauces etc.

OK if you are ordering an item off the kids menu then most resturants don't mind. I've ordered things off them in the past and they've been fine with it. With the situation above however then they wouldn't let you order a kids portion as its a table platter they bring out and obviously you aren't a child and its all you can eat.

As long as the meal hasn't already been prepared (like your example with the pot pie at 50s), you can get your meal just about anyway you want it. My husband does not like any kind of sauce except ketchup on his meat. So he orders his steak or whatever "naked". His idea of a salad is lettuce, crutons, and cheese. So he asks for lots of things to be removed. Neither one of us likes the "seasonal vegetables" that come with meals so we ask to substitute for something else. Basically, if it's on the menu somewhere, you can do this. So if my meal on the menu comes with rice but another dish comes with mashed potatoes, I ask to get the mashed potatoes instead.

If you aren't a heavy eater (I'm not either), you can order an appetizer as your dinner. That's the first place I always look when I go to a restaurant. Also, you can share a meal really easily at Disney World.

Disney World always works with you on meals to make you happy.
