Requesting Suggestions For New Years Day Dinner In London

We (family of 6) will be using our DVC points to stay at the Royal Garden in London and will be arriving, following a week in Paris, on New Years Day. Can anyone suggest a moderately priced restaurant for New Years Day where we can have traditional British food? At this point, we are thinking about Porters English Restaurant at Covent Garden. Thanks for any help.

I would suggest you make a booking as soon as you can as good restaurants will get booked up on Bank Holidays.

Have a great time. We like to use our DVC points for other stays apart from WDW.

Porters is a good spot for traditional English food and Covent Garden a fun place to look round. It is quite noisy and busy as a rule. I am not sure how many places will be open on New Years Day.

A more expensive option but very English, elegant and stylish is Simpsons on the Strand. If you choose roast beef here they carve from a huge joint in front of you. Very yummy!
