Requesting specific rooms at BWI?

We have heard it's wise to fax your hotel a week or so before your stay just to confirm and also ask for specific requests, like view preferences or a range of room numbers. Has anyone done this?

You can do it, but the best thing is to make sure CRO has it noted on your reservation record. Sometimes the faxes are not read. The DVC resorts are no longer accepting faxes, special requests must be on your reservation.

Also mention it nicely at check-in because the room assigner might have missed your requests and the guy at the desk is randomly putting you in a room.
