Requesting Magic Bands

I've taken a break from WDW the last couple of years due to life getting in the way and it seems so much has changed. On previous trips, I could go into MDE and order different color Magic Bands for each guest to be shipped prior to our stay. I know the style of Magic Bands have changed, but has the ordering process changed too? I don't see this option any more. I started doing the online check-in thinking it may be there but still never found it.

I would appreciate any help you may offer to get me back up to Disney speed. Thanks so much!

It hasn't changed - if you go into the "MagicBands and Cards" section of your MDE you will have the option to customize your order. There is a time limit though, You have up until a few weeks from your stay I believe.
 
I had to call tech support for help because there was nothing to click on to customize my magic band. Tech support did something and the option appeared.
 
There is definitely something odd that goes on with Disney's IT as far as magic bands. This is the second time in the last year that I have a resort booked where the magic band customization button doesn't show up.

Coincidentally, the resorts were both on split stays - with only the second resort having the magic band button, the first resort of the trip had nothing. For the trip in June I called and had it fixed - this time I'm just letting it go.
 
The choice is there for me to customise but they require an address (but don't ship to overseas) and I can't see an option to collect on check in ? Can I put our resort address in here?
 
I hope this helps, copied it from the FAQ on the disneyworld.com website: Unfortunately, MagicBand orders cannot be shipped to all countries. When you customize your MagicBand, you’ll be asked to provide a shipping address. If, during this process, you discover that we do not ship to your country—but you plan on staying at a Disney Resort hotel—your MagicBand will automatically be waiting for you at the Front Desk when you arrive at your Disney Resort hotel. Likewise, you can also arrange to have your MagicBand sent to a non-Disney Resort hotel with a valid shipping address prior to the start of your vacation.

As @tnolan said, just provide your real address, outside the US. They will ship your MB to your resort ready for you to collect it at the front desk. Based on my experience, this also disable text notifications when your room is ready, though when your room is, its number will appear on MDE. (I have no idea if, at this point, your old MBs might open the door, as I always went to reception first. I expect there's a 50% chance.)
