Requesting Late Check-Out

We will be going to the Wilderness Lodge in October. Does anyone know if you can request a late check out when checking in.earsgirl:

It's possible, but you will need to request it when you check in. You may or may not get it. You can always check out and store your luggage with the hotel until you need to leave.

When ever I want a late check out at any resort I wait until very early Am of the day I would like to check out late. Disney has sevral pools with showers that you can rent a locker at and store your clean things for the afternoon and then shower to catch the plane. I would ask at guest services when you check in if that is an option.

WL, AKL, Poly, and BC have always told us to ask the night before we are due to check out. The decision seems to be based on hotel occupancy. Last Oct, we were allowed a late check out of 1:00 at the WL.

I've been told to request a late check out @ the front desk within 24 hours of scheduled checkout. It's granted based upon availability. Up to a 5 hour extention, I believe. And there is no charge.

We requested it at CBR and they let us have it until 1:00 no charge....I have heard that longer than that and they will charge you 1/2 a days rate....?!

I've always been told to call the evening before. We pretty much always request late checkout b/c we do parks and begin our drive home our last day. We have only been turned down once (early this month) and once we could only get until noon instead of 1 p.m.

The most you can get for free is two hours. The five-hour (?-- can't remember exact time) costs half your room rate -- I was offered this in June at CS, but took the free 1 p.m. instead.

We requested late check-out the morning of at CBR two years in a row and they gave us until 2 p.m. with no charge. On our last day we always spend time at the resort before we go. (its so sad that last day isn't it?)

I remember a few years ago paying 1/2 a room rate for a late check out. We were at Dixie Landings. We had a late night flight and did not want to leave early plus my DS was only 2 at the time. I do not know for sure if they still do this. You might want to give a call and find out for sure.

We just came back from the poly concierge,and in the pre-planning stage I asked about late check-out. They told me to ask again on the day before we were to check-out. They gave us til 1pm. They said if we wanted to go til 4-5 it would be more $$! I would check with the individual resort!!

Late check-outs are complimentary until 1pm, 1/2 room rate until 3, and full night after 3...basically after 3 the room is unsellable at typical check-in time and will take a while to get ready if needed for a guest. All late check-outs are based upon availability....don't be surprised if you don't get one b/c the resorts are packed right now!!!
