We usually go the first or second week in May, but between state testing and baseball those dates won't work.

So now I'm looking at either 4/26-5/1 or 5/17-5/22. Which would be better for crowds and weather? Is spring break still an issue at the end of April?

Any feedback is appreciated!

Definitely the May dates. Your April dates conflict with Spring Break.

Ugh! I think either date is going to be busy. The school has the first two weeks of May blocked out for state testing. I may give them a call and see if they have specific days in mind and if we can work around them. The first week in May looks like a much better option for crowds.

We are going last week of April and found out most days will be really busy.

Check out this link to Touring Plans, looks like 26, 27, really busy but the rest of your stay would be pretty good.:):)

I'm planning a trip to Disneyland (YEAH!) and am wondering where this 'touringplans' gets its information. What source is it using to predict crowd levels down the road? :confused3

Hydroguy,

I am curious as to why you say to watch out for grad nights?

We have been many times in May and we didn't really notice any inconvenience from them. Did we miss something?

I took his post to mean that it wouldn't increase day crowds, but we will experience a disruption in park hours.

I did contact the school today and inquired about the state testing during the first week in May. If we go 5/3-5/8, it will only affect 1 day of scheduled testing, and they are willing to allow my son to test earlier in the week with another class. I'm reluctant to have them do this, especially since this is "non-essential" travel, but the first week in May is when we've usually gone and had a great time.

Attending on the day of a Grad Night is not about crowds, but rather just being aware that Park hours are shorter and that the entertainment offerings can differ than a non-grad night. This is not a bad thing, it just means that the day is different than a 8am - 12 mid summer day and you want to plan accordingly. Many actually really enjoy going on Grad Night days. :)

Pretty much that is it. :)

I believe next year I will go in Jan. - early March sometime. April so far is looking scary.
