Requesting Different Sheets

Is it possible to request some different sheets or that they be washed differently; we just stayed at the All Star Sports over the weekend our first over night trip to Disney and my DD and I woke up in the morning with really red skin and I had broken out. So I am wondering if its the detergent the sheets are washed in; we have really sensitive skin and my DD has allergies. For our next trip I plan to bring a lot of stuff from home with us since we will be there 5 days.

TIA,
Heather

I would think you would have to bring your own sheets. In hotels all bedding is washed in bulk. Hope everything works out and have a great trip.

I have to agree with the above poster. To ensure a certain "kind" of sheets, I'd play it safe and just bring a set from home. Washing machines and dryers are available for you to wash your set (with your own detergent) as well.

This no harm in asking, but in the case they're unable to meet your request, you'd be left with no sheets.

I don't remember who you call, but you can request special sheets for allergies. You can also request that your room have a special allergy cleaning. Hopefully someone who knows the answer will be along. If not, try posting on the disabilities board, maybe someone there will know the answer. You could also try doing a search, I know there have been some threads about this issue. Good luck.

I DON'T have sensitive skin and I still broke out like crazy last time I was there. Very painful and itchy. They tried telling me it was the detergent, but they use the detergent I have used most of my life (my parents work for the company that handles their cleaning and I get all the products for cheap/free).

Anyway, to be on the safe side I will be bringing my own sheets next time. I was miserable our whole trip. DOn't want to go through that again!!

Do you strip the bed every morning so mousekeeping does not change the sheets or do they realize that they are not Disney's and leave them?

Thanks

If you were to bring your own sheets....it would be best to bring brightly colored or printed sheets so that housekeeping would be able to tell you had your own sheets on the bed.

I will say though, that BWI housekeeping stripped my daughter's flower printed case from her own pillow and sent it to the laundry with the other sheets, so it may not work. (She got it back. We left a detailed description with the front desk and it was mailed to us a couple weeks later).

I think I might just bring a flat sheet to lay over top of theres and the our own pillows and blankets.
