Which blocks are closest to reception/breakfast area at the Cheyenne? Also im going in just over a week is there an email address I can use to put in a request?

Thanks in advance

I requested Billy the Kid or Jesse James as they looked closest to reception.

I wouldnt want to stay close to reception /bar/restaurant lol

soaring eagle block is quite good

I think different blocks have different prices now???????????

How did you request them? I hate ringing so if I can avoid that it would be good. Do you have a map at al? Ive seen them on here before but cant find them now.

manxtatt2 - Why wouldnt you stay close to recpetion?

poppyolivia - There different prices, I hadnt heard that. Why different prices? :confused3

Thanks guys. :thumbsup2

jes i sound boring , but i like my bed lol

:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

also apparently the rooms closer to there are more expensive , dont know whether it has started yet , or from november

Have a look at this thread - there is a possible Email address for Cheyenne. I think Little Mermaid got a reply from it.
Also if you continue onto pg 2 of the thread there is a link to another thread about the price differences for some rooms

I think there is a map on the Cheyenne thread in the hotel sticky

I don't think anyone has had much bad to say about their location at the Hotel Cheyenne. Jesse James and Billy the Kid are actually closest to the restaurants and bar in the main reception block, but I suspect Wyatt Earp might actually be closer to reception itself.

We were in Sitting Bull, which is riverside, our room overlooked the play Teepees and the play fort was just a few steps away from that. On the hotel map, the Cheyenne looks sprawling, but its not really like that at all. We were no more than 2 minutes from the door of reception to the main entrance to the Sitting Bull block.

After Jesse James, Billy the Kid, Wild Bill Hickok and Wyatt Earp, the next nearest to the main reception block, and the shuttle bus stops etc, are Soaring Eagle, Butch Cassidy, Sitting Bull and Annie Oakley (the only onsite hotel laundry, should you want to use that, is at the Hotel Cheyenne, between Sitting Bull and Annie Oakley).

I sent a e-mailed the hotel but never got a reply (so not sure if it was the correct addy)but due to my compaint i had with DLRP back in Janaury i had to e-mail them at guest services anyway 2 weeks before i go tomorrow and i requested it in the e-mail to them.

They said its not guarenteed but has been noted on my booking.

I stayed in Wild Bill Hickok which is opposite Jessie James and very close to reception/breakfast block and it was great. Very quiet even though our room was on the second floor right on the corner overlooking the main reception block.

Ok, so basically its not massively spread out like it looks, so really shouldnt matter where you are. I may send an email with a request anyway and hope for the best. At least I know if its not granted it wont be to much of a problem.

Thanks everyone. :thumbsup2

I can never make decisions and would not like to have the choice given to me. If I chose a block and then got there and wished I had chosen another one I would be really miffed. It can't be too rambling. I can't see it being any further away from reception to a room as say in some of the hotels. The last time at Sequoia lodge we seemed to be walking for ever to get to breakfast and reception.

if you want certain blocks the price goes up, I'm sure of it...it was in the brochure, can someone else clarify this or am I going bonkers?;)

I remember reading this too , but think its for bookings from november

:cool1:

Yes, you can pay extra for "Rio Grande" and "Eldorado/Buffalo" (SF/Cheyenne respectively) rooms at both Santa Fe and Cheyenne. Rio Grande is along the path giving easier access to the parks, the other is closer to reception and the other central facilities.

General opinion on another thread recently was that its all a bit of guff, as the path isn't particularly far from any block, ditto reception.

yes i usually request a specific block but i am not doing this in november as i will have to pay an extra 60 euros. that is a total rip off as you are not getting anything for your money.

60euros. That is a complete rip off! Unfortunatly some people will pay that not knowing its really not worth it.

We'll just take what we are allocated! Don't want to be paying out any extra!!! Seems rather a steep charge for anyone who might need a specific location though IMO.

Hi! we will need 4 rooms if everybody goes in March and want to stay together in the Cheyenne. Where does it say that you have to pay extra for a specific block? We stayed in Sitting Bull last time and it was very handy - beside laundry and not too far to reception. But dont really mind which block as long as we are all together in the same one. What is the best way to ensure this - we havnt booked yet, but usually do on the Disney site. Would it be better to phone? Thanks! Also last time we had 2 connecting rooms - could we get all the rooms together and connecting one to the next!! Kids will be back and forth to each other! I guess the best thing is to phone!

I don't think you can have 4 connecting rooms, I don't think the hotels are set up that way (the connecting door is only in one wall of a room, not 2). You could have 2 lots of 2 connecting rooms though. Whenever I've requested connecting rooms, I contact the hotel by phone, about 2 weeks before I'm going, to put in my request. Connecting rooms can't be guaranteed, but it will be put on your booking by the hotel, and they'll do what they can for you.
