Requesting a cabin near a pet-friendly RV loop?

Delurking, with the first of what I'm sure will be many questions...

In mid-October (10/11-16), my parents will be hosting a big extended family trip to WDW. They'll be driving their RV up from Louisiana, with my sister and her 2.5-year-old daughter. My wife, three-year-old son and I will meet them at FW, after flying down from D.C. and DMEing from the airport. We'll be staying in a cabin. My sister and niece may join us in the cabin, or may stay in my parents' RV.

Obviously, we'd like the cabin and campsite to be as close as possible, but I haven't been to FW (or WDW at all, for that matter) since... 1985, I think? So my memories of the actual layout of the campground are almost completely gone, and the maps don't really help (at least with providing a sense of scale, which is what's important). Does anyone have suggestions on specific cabins/campsites (or at least loops) to request?

There are two small complicating factors: 1. My parents have a small dog, so they'll need a pet-friendly loop. 2. My parents made their reservation with WD directly, while we made our reservation through AAA. The AAA agent I spoke to said that she couldn't access a CRO reservation in order to coordinate, and she didn't think that CRO would be able to access my reservation. Any suggestions on who I should call? CRO? FW directly? Someone else? Or should we just wait until we arrive and hope for the best?

Thanks in advance!

1200 & 1300 are the closest pet loops to cabins, cabin loops closest to these are 2100, 2200 & 2300. They can request thru disney and AAA can request these for you.

Also the one booked through WDW can call and ask your reservation to be made into a Grand Gathering, (if you have 8 people total), then when they get the GG number, the other party can call AAA and have them add that reservation to the Grand Gathering. Then all reservations on the GG # will be linked.

Then about 4 days before the first party arrives, send a fax to Fort Wilderness with your specific requests about pet loops and proximity.

Do they now allow pets on these loops? My answer would have been 1600 thru 1900. Oh...I can't keep up with all the changes!!

According to our sticky and the allears site they do, I had to double check also. I've heard rumors that SOMEDAY they will all be pet loops.

Thanks for the suggestions, all. Our group isn't quite big enough to be a Grand Gathering (we'll be seven total with one under three), but CRO gave us a TW (travel with) number on both reservations that's supposed to help the CMs at the Fort keep us together when they make cabin/site assignments. Now we just need to remember to fax in our loop requests the week before our trip!
