Delurking, with the first of what I'm sure will be many questions...
In mid-October (10/11-16), my parents will be hosting a big extended family trip to WDW. They'll be driving their RV up from Louisiana, with my sister and her 2.5-year-old daughter. My wife, three-year-old son and I will meet them at FW, after flying down from D.C. and DMEing from the airport. We'll be staying in a cabin. My sister and niece may join us in the cabin, or may stay in my parents' RV.
Obviously, we'd like the cabin and campsite to be as close as possible, but I haven't been to FW (or WDW at all, for that matter) since... 1985, I think? So my memories of the actual layout of the campground are almost completely gone, and the maps don't really help (at least with providing a sense of scale, which is what's important). Does anyone have suggestions on specific cabins/campsites (or at least loops) to request?
There are two small complicating factors: 1. My parents have a small dog, so they'll need a pet-friendly loop. 2. My parents made their reservation with WD directly, while we made our reservation through AAA. The AAA agent I spoke to said that she couldn't access a CRO reservation in order to coordinate, and she didn't think that CRO would be able to access my reservation. Any suggestions on who I should call? CRO? FW directly? Someone else? Or should we just wait until we arrive and hope for the best?
Thanks in advance!
