Request high floor or top floor for reservation?

Tomorrow morning I make our first DVC trip reservation. :woohoo:

We will be staying at BWV in a standard view 1-bedroom. I know to request a room across from the bus stop so we could see some of the fireworks from Epcot.

Is it better to ask for the top floor, or to just ask for a high floor? Which one would increase our chances of getting the location across from the bus stop, or does it not even matter? What would you ask for if you were me? Thanks!! We're very excited to be booking next summer's trip!

The more specific your request, the less chance you have of getting it. However, in the past when we've requested high floor (every time except the last time), we've been on the lowest floor possible - have realistic expectations for having your request met - it doesn't hurt to ask, but in my experience, it really doesn't do much good either. On the other hand, we discovered we love the ground floor and first floor - easy access to the pool, no need for the elevators or taking more than one flight of stairs.

Last time we did get our only request met - two rooms close to each other that were right next door. But since the reservation notes had "sister's cancer recovery trip" plastered all over them, I suspect an extra effort might have been made.

OK, so then is it better to just request NOT to be on the first floor?

I always request top floor and usually end up on 3 or 4 (most of standard view has 4 floors).
