I have been doing some searching and as far as I can tell my muster station will be Assembly Area H. If you are sailing on The Disney Magic in the next few weeks or months could you help me out. If your muster station is Assembly Area H can you take a clear photo of the map on the back of your door and tell me where this muster station is located.

I want to plan my route from the muster station to a good viewing spot for the Sail Away Party. My plan is to be on deck 10, at the railing, near to the funnel so that I am level with the stage. You might think that this is over planning but as I am a solo cruiser I don't have the luxury of having multiple people in my party to save a place for me. I need to be on the ball and plan my route, so that I don't get stuck behind tall people or other obstructions.

I do not have the image you’re looking for, but I do have a suggestion. Do not go early to the Muster drill. Show up right on time that way you are less likely to be placed against the wall with people in front of you. Then when you are dismissed from the drill, walk immediately to the stairs and go up to Deck 10 as quick as you can.

I’m on The Magic at the beginning of June. I’ll try and remember to look out for H.
It is on deck 4 though outside. I’m pretty sure anyway. As someone else suggested don’t get there too early as you don’t want to be at the back, but sometimes they line you up in height order.
My advice is that if you are not afraid of taking the stairs use them not the elevators. You will be quicker that way.

Be ready to have people with their arms stretched out along the railings trying to save spots, couldnt believe this when I saw it.

Have you looked at this thread it shows a little diagram of the muster stations at the bottom. https://www.disboards.com/threads/magic-wonder-muster-lifeboat-stations.2579704/

We just got off the Magic and had K which was just aft of the midship elevators. Per the diagram above H would be about midship elevator/stairs but on the opposite side. Hope that helps! We left right after the muster drill and took the stairs and got a decent spot up front even though we had our 4 kids and weren’t moving super fast. With your preparation you should hopefully be successful. I would second the advice if you arrive a little closer to on time vs early you may have a better position though it shouldn’t matter too much. Enjoy your cruise!

Thanks, thats what I'm afraid of, but I used to go to concerts so I'm used to that.

Thanks :) the stairs don't bother me and I'm used to weaving through people in the parks

We were just on the Wonder, station J about midway in the lifeboat group. I learned from a trivia session there are 150 people per lifeboat, and they group in groups of 4 facing the rail for the muster drill so about 37-38 sets of 4 for the drill. That gives you an idea of how many people will be in each lifeboat group, as it was more than I expected the first time we cruised.

The doors to midship are around the H-J section boundaries, so if you are in H closest to J, you will be closest to the doors to catch the stairs when it is over. The cast members may try to move you to a group of 2 or 3 to fill in their four people per row for the drill.

Be watchful of the muster area signs - there is an H on either end of the H section, with J on the back of the aft sign. Ie - if you go out on deck four and look at the muster signs, you will see J, then H up ahead so may be inclined to head towards the H. However as soon as you pass the J look up and back & you will see H overhead on the back of the J sign. Try to stick close to the adjacent J section end of the H section.

Being in the middle of J, as suggested we used stairs rather than wait for the elevators & got straight up to deck 9. We were on the same deck as the Performers, right at the end opposite the screen and at the rope in front of the stage area where the characters dance. It is a great location to watch the show, no one in front of us and some High-fours from the characters as they dance by. The kids wil be along the sides as they can go out to dance with the characters after the show is over. A lot of adults only tend to go up to 10, and the parents cluster behind the kids on 9, so if you are early after the drill it is easy to get at rope at the end opposite the stage on 9.
