Republic Wireless what do you know

Hi,
We were on the waitlist for Republic Wireless and have now received an invitation to join. Does anyone have Republic Wireless and if so how is the service? It seems like a good deal and the new phones are the Motorola Defy XT. What can anyone tell me?

That it still in beta and unreliable at the moment and only allowing people in waves at the moment. Check howardfourums for more info

I just got my invite as my wave finally came up. I jumped ship back in July for tmobile family. The Howard forums make it seem like there are tons of issues.

Sounds like an interesting concept, but it has issues. You have to switch back and forth between wifi and cellular and if you are using wifi and leave wifi, the call will drop and you will need to switch the phone to cellular and re-dial.

They definitely don't have it all together yet.

And it uses the Sprint network while in cellular mode.....I have too many issues with Sprint in this area.
