Hi Fellow VMKers.

I am curious - have you ever reported another VMKer and if so, why?

Edited to Add: Sorry Guys, I meant to make it multiple choice, but forgot to check the box. :( So if you have done more than one, select the one you think you have done the most.

I think you need to be able to check more than one- I've had to report all 3 reasons multiple times, plus for many other reasons!!

I have reported for two people saying lewd things by dictionary dancing. I am stongly opposed to that, as I believe this should be a safe place for kids of all ages to play. I know several others in the room reported them as well...they were guests, and hopefully long gone by now.

I was just curious really.....
I have reported for language, mostly the language which is adult content. :(

I see alot of that "duh duh, mummy and bay.be" stuff, but I never report it. I have seen people say stuff like "hey bay.be, why don't we go to my room and be alone" and I say "that is against VMK rules." They generally disappear. ;)

I know I should let their mothers and fathers probably worry about that, but my nine year old plays VMK and she is asking me what they mean. :(

The one thing I have reported the most for is scamming (while I haven't been scammed, I have had people attempt to scam me, in which case I report them). I typically don't report for other issues unless it gets really bad. As far as "bay be" is concerned, while I don't report it, I do remind people that it's against VMK values when I see it happening in public rooms (or if I see invites in public rooms to the "taken" rooms).

Lewd talk, a couple of times (REALLY lewd!) and in one very odd instance in the Alice Dark Ride, blatant racism. The latter was from someone with a name VERY MUCH LIKE a name of a troublemaker here on the Dis boards - who posted for a couple days on the community board and then I believe was asked to leave.

I've reported lots of people who use bad language especially in pirates. I've also reported people because of rude dictionary dancing. Luckily I've never been scammed before so I haven't yet needed to use the report button for that, but you know what they say... there's always a first! :upsidedow
I've also reported someone for being racist however when I sent the report to VMK I got the ignore message. I think it's because you're still using vmk language when you report so you can't say 'racist' etc

I don't hesitate in reporting people for using foul language. I just reported someone the other day for it.

I don't report for the bay.be and taken junk.

While there are times that I see people using foul language in POTC, I have in the past not reported them. But now I will make sure to write down their names and report them after.

I will also report room owners who are scamming others out of their items.

But, I have used the report button far more for foul language.

I've only reported once. It was for someone making racist comments. I voted other on your poll, because I wasn't sure if it was a rule violation or foul language.

I reported a girl after a game of pirates for calling us a foul name, but then I got a warning that false reporting is illegal and I could get banned. The note said that they read the chat log and didn't see anything. So watch out, if they don't see what you are reporting they can ban you.

I report for many reasons, mostly foul language but always get that VMK message that says to use the ignore button. :confused3 The ignore button isn't the point, its the actual fact that the person is saying something rude that everybody else can hear.

I've never personally experienced that, but I've heard people taking these steps to try and avoid that from happening...use the "Contact Us" and give specific details such as room instance (or note the specific game and what specific round), time, and what they said.

My last report was on the pirate dock.
A fellow dis member called me a very racist name. Hmm imagine that.
Nice guy huh?

I've reported many times, not sure if it does any good, but with 2 sons playing the game, I feel I need to do something in order to try and keep it relatively clean.

I've only reported either foul language or lewd comments.

I reported a couple of times. It was for language, a trade thing, and something else i can't remember and there was many times that i should have reported and didn't...

I have only ever reported for foul language. I also used Contact Us rather than Report in the game. That way I could give more specific information. I actually received a response the next day from VMK saying that they would take appropriate action.

Today I reported someone for using foul language in pirates. I reported straight after the game and I got a thankyou message from vmk. Hopefully they sorted out the problem :thumbsup2

EDIT Sorry AbsoluteAwesome1 I didn't know about that. Thanks for telling me :)

^ Can you please not use dictionary dancing here on DIS either? Thanks...
