Today was our day to travel to Daytona. We stopped at a Denny's on International Dr. to eat then we were off! Daytona was about an hour's drive away but it was really easy to get to the speedway. Daytona USA was a great exhibit! Many interesting NASCAR stuff to look at! Plus there were a few interative type exhibits that we did not do but looked interesting too. The NASCAR 3D movie was wonderful! Great 3D effects plus an interesting story about NASCAR even for us non-fans. The tour of the track was the best part. A tram takes you all around the track and you stop at Victory Lane for pictures. After the tour we shopped (the gift shop had pretty decent prices compared to Disney). Then we drove on Daytona Beach! Wish that beach was closer to PA! Very clean and looked like it would be a great beach to visit.
For dinner we ate at the Champions Sports bar at the Marriott World Center. Good food and service - the kids really liked it!
Oh - I forgot to mention that last night we went to the beach at the Polynesian to watch Wishes - a nice view with a non-crowded area to sit and no traffic to battle afterwards!
