As I posted before I wrote to WDW about the fact that I was refused the Am Express discount because I used my points to pay for the room at OKW and not Am Exp. I did use the Am Exp card on check in for room charges. I talked to Am Exp and they passed it off on WDW saying that WDW sets the policy for this discount and not Am Exp. I had to write to WDW Merchandising 2 times before I got a reply and they called me yeaterday. They said that they had recieved my e-mail and that the matter had been refered to one of the "higher ups" at WDW Merchandising to review this problem. I told them that this had happened for the past 2 years and I was not made aware of the fact that I should have been getting this discount until I read some of the posts on this board. I told her that if they give this discount to others who use the Am Wxp to purchase food and merchandise thne we should get it also because it only states in the White Glove booklet that you have to be staying at a WDW resort and use your Am Exp card when you purchase items at participating stores in WDW. I am very disappointed that I had to take it this far because we have been very loyal to WDW and DVC and if they are going to start nickle and dimeing us because OKW and BW is now sold out it does not make much sense to me. We go 3 to 4 times a year and spend alot of money in the stores and at the parks. We deserve the same benifits as any one else who goes to WDW.
