I have a set of silverware that I can see would be worth something. I want to sell the entire lot. How do I contact them and find out how much they would give me for them?

I tried emailing and never got a response so I assume I am doing something wrong.

Call them - 1-800-REPLACE.

I will tell you that they are a wonderful company and a great asset to NC and a terrific corporate citizen - but they are not the place for bargains, nor will they buy your stuff for a profit (to you.) It depends on how much inventory they have in your pattern and what their anticipated demand is. Generally, you will not get what you think you should and selling it yourself privately will almost always get you a better price.

But they are a great resource for hard to find stuff and they are convenient if you are willing to accept their offer.

If you live within a couple hours drive it is worth it to go in person just to see the showroom and take the behind the scenes tour. It is an amazing place.

I would look at selling it on ebay. Replacements.com gives you a low low price and then sells it to the public at a huge profit. Also note that you are required to ship it to them and they inspect the pieces and if you want the rejected pieces back you need to pay the return shipping too.

See if you have a local china store that buys and sells. We have one near us that works with Replacements.com and they gave me double what Replacements offered for my aunt's china - and I didn't have to pay to ship it. I've bought from Replacements and their customer service is excellent! I highly recommend buying through them, but selling, you might not get the best price.
