Repeat cruisers... how do you make it special?

OTHER than the fact that it's a Disney cruise and a vacation.... I like to surprise my family with something each time we cruise to make it special. I book us in different types of rooms (verandah, navigator's verandah, sideways room, two-porthole room, etc) or hang fun decorations from the ceiling. What are some other ways that you make repeat cruising special?

That's an interesting question to me. I never thought of it because as you said, its a vacation and a cruise so that's pretty special, and after 17 Disney cruises I don't make it a point to do anything else. With that said though I've now realized our past few cruises have stood out. We did the CC Challenge after running the marathon in January. Last summer we celebrated our 20th anniversary, DH's birthday and DS's graduation. 2 cruises before that we had friends come with us and twice now we have done back to backs. Another way we changed it up, even though it was out of our control, was due to a hurricane we had a last minute change of port...an unplanned visit to San Juan made it interesting. ;)

I try to take cruises to other places or take others (parents, DD, DB/DSIL) on the same cruise!
