I am not sure if there is a better forum to post this somewhat esoteric question, but here goes...

My wife’s D&B DCL drawstring backpack has a rip in the red satin inner lining. I see that D&B offers repair services, but I am guessing those cost an arm and a leg. Was wondering if anyone else out there had success with something more local - a cobbler or haberdashery, perhaps?

I have brought my other purses with damage to our local shoemaker....he fixes everything....I will be very upset when he retires!

Seamstress, maybe? It's fabric, not leather, so a cobbler seems inappropriate. Or at least contact D&B to see about cost. Imo, given what they charge, repairs should be free.
