A few years back I purchased a Disney watch while in WDW. It was a Stitch as the King adult watch which I just loved.:lovestruc Well about a year ago somehow I smashed the lens and the watch stopped working I do not remember hitting it and I do not think I dropped it on a hard surface as I would have noticed it when I put it on. :confused3

Now my question is do you think it is repairable within reason? I do not think you can get this particular watch anymore as I only seen children's Stitch watches now. I really, really love this watch and I did not see any for sale online either.

Thoughts on this????

Take it to a jeweler. If it cant be fixed or if it will cost more than the watch is worth they will tell you.

I have a Tinkerbell watch - paid around $100. I dropped it on a tile floor and cracked the face. I just had it repaired, battery replaced for $35. I didn't think it was repairable - but the jeweler explained to me that the impact knocked the battery off kilter, so that's why it stopped working. Maybe the same thing happened to yours - good luck.

I had that exact same watch. I dropped it on the counter and it stopped working. I didn't drop it hard or from a great height -- I've dropped others in far worse circumstances and they kept working. Anyway, I took it to the local watch guy and he had 2 things to say: First, he could repair it but it would cost $60 or so. IIRC, the watch was only like $20 or so, so not really worth it. Second, even though he could repair it, the watch was designed poorly and the same thing would probably happen again if it were knocked even slightly. It had something to do with the way the Stitch character was positioned against the hands -- there wasn't really enough room for the hands to operate or something and slight knocks pushed the whole mechanism out of alignment and bent stuff. That's as much of the techie explanation as I can remember. Anyway, I opted not to get it fixed but man, I was bummed b/c I only had it like 2 months and I thought it was the cutest thing.
