Was just reading a thread about rental prices being so low. It was pretty confusing what with people referring to rentor and renter interchangeably.

I have a suggestion that I'm hoping yall'll embrace. Lets call the DVC member with points to rent ---- the DVCHost. That way there is no more confusion about what is meant and threads become easy reading.

Whaddaya say?

Hmmm... I'm thinking a DVCHost is when you GIVE room and board to family or friends.

I think one who makes money with points is a RENTOR.

IMHO

How about "owner" for the one who owns the points and "renter" for the one paying the owner for a reservation.

Remember a DVC Owner with the PDRA certification is always your best & safest rental source!

I'll bite-PDRA? As long as it doesn't get you any more points would you indulge my curiosity?

In one of my (don't believe) replies on another thread, in a far and distand sub-board, I created the ficticious agency the Professional DVC Renters Association, to seperate we beloved professional renters from the evil commercial renters. Actually it started when I jokingly suggested that Professional Renter was more appropriate than Commercial Renter as a label. But somehow I got banned (timed out) for ten days, and the Professional/Commercial debate became somewhat serious. :crazy2:

To help remind all that Disney started with a mouse, and Professional/Commercial Labels are really meaningless, I created the PDRA.

We're like realtors, we take courses in ethics, that kinda nonsense.

But with the trust involved, and restrictions increasing, perhaps we need this association, which can vouch for the Owners renting :scratchin

Now you know the sad, and dare I say, disappointing truth of the PDRA.
