Renting/transfering of points-how does it work?

I am a new DVC member and just booked my first vacation for this year. I used my 2009 UY pts and borrowed the majority of my 2010 UY pts. I have a few left over and wanted to know how does the process of renting/transfering points work? Since I am new, any help/advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

You could leave them in your 2010 UY and borrow from 2011 or bank them into 2011 once you hit the start of your UY. Why get rid of them so quickly?

Thanks for you reply. I've already booked a Disney cruise for 2011, so I won't being using my 2011 UY points. I will be banking my 2011 points for use in 2012 (in conjunction with 2012 UY pts-similarly like this year).

Since I won't be going on another vacation in 2011, my 2010 points if banked to 2011-won't be used by me. Since I'm new, I'm not sure if I bank them to 2011, could I rent them out then? Thanks!
