Renting time share points???

We are trying to book a vacation to Disney Dates Removed. We had our heart set on Poly and I thought it would be around $3400 for 3 and garden view. But because there are no specials right now it would be 4400. That I cant swallow, and the sad thing so had my heart set on POLY...SO I thought to check into DVC rentals...Where do I go for this, has anyone done this, are there certain things to look for and things to not look for? All your HELP would be appreciated....

There's no DVC at the POLY and likely no availability at any DVC at this late date

I realize there is no DVC at POLY, so I wanted to then look at other resorts...DO you know of the site to check for RENTALS...Never hurts to look, thanks...

It's a risk for a DVC member to make a reservation for a renter so close to the check-in date. Your best bet (probably your only option actually) would be someone who already has a reservation booked but cannot take the trip and is looking to rent out the reservation rather than cancel it.

Take a look at the DIS' DVC Rent/Trade board. You could also try David's DVC rentals (see the banner ad on the Rent/Trade board). Even if you do find someone willing to book something for you, availability will be limited at this point.
