anyone ever rent an rv? dh just mentions to me today that we're going to rent an rv and go out west this summer! we had talked about it, but nothing concrete, and he just assumes we can do it all at the last minute! :rotfl2: o.k. i should have known, this is the man who asked me if i wanted to go to a movie, we get in the car , go to the theater, than he says so whats playing now? after a twenty-five minute drive, nothing is on, what, you can't look in the paper before dragging me all the way across town?! and i married this guy  sorry, just had to vent. anyway, some input from those who have rented would be greatly appreciated. :teeth:

We are renting in October from 1-800-4rentrv or something like that. It is costing about $800 with a Costco discount and 600 miles are included. Additional miles are $.20 I think. It is a Class C. This is expensive to me, but it is an experience we have never had so it is worth it for us!

From the little research I've done, it's the miles that get you!

Another thing to think about is that if you get a motorhome, you'll have to drive that around if you want to get somewhere by car. You may be able to tow a car behind it, but I honestly have no idea if the rentals will let you do that.

My local RV place rents popups and I think also small trailers. That might be something to look into!

What are some other names of RV rental places in the Northeast. My Dad has been trying to look into this.

And does anyone know approx. gas miles highway for one of these things?
