Renting points

Just a quick question......I have rented points before and plan to do so again for our 2005 trip. Does anyone know if you are able 'link' a cash reservation for 1 night and continue to stay in the same room on a reservation using DVC points?

I am unsure of our arrival date by a day or two. If we are able to come a day or two earlier than what we arrange with DVC points, I would like to make a reservation through CRO for a night or two, then continue our stay on our points reservation without changing rooms.

You guys all have such great information, I am just hoping someone has some experience with a similar situation. Thanks!

It is possible to make arrangements but not to formally link them. You cannot guarantee you will not have to move though if you plan and notify all parties, it's unlikely you'll have to move.
