Renting points

I will be renting points for AKL and I understand I won't be getting daily 'mousekeeping' which I am ok with. Will there still be shampoo/conditioner/soap in the room when I arrive? And how many towels will I start with? TIA

There will be 1 shampoo, 1 conditioner, 1 body wash, and 1-2 bars of soap when you arrive to the room.

There will be 4 bath towels, 2-4 hand towels, 2-4 washcloths, and 1 bathmat.

Oh wait - those numbers are for a studio. If you're staying in something larger, I'd assume there will be more.

You'll have a towel set for each person allowed under the maximum room occupancy. So, if it's a studio, you'll have 4 of each, if it's a 1 bedroom, you'll have 4 (or 5 in OKW, BLT, and some AKV villas). If it's a 2 bedroom, you'll have 8 sets (or 9 in OKW, BLT and some AKV villas).

You can always buy another towel pack of you run out, they are not expensive about $6.00 I think.

It will only be DH and myself so I think a set of 4 will be plenty. And we are staying in a studio.

You can also use pool towels, if necessary. We always wash and dry our towels since we have laundry in the room, but usually bring a few towels up from the pool area to add to the ones in the room. Obviously we then return them to the pool area before leaving.

No, you have to use the laundry room if you stay in a studio. You use half the points to stay in a studio that sleeps about the same as a one bedroom. But the one bedroom gives you more space (two rooms instead of just one), a full kitchen instead of just a kitchenette, a king sized bed instead of a queen, a separate shower from the tub (unless you stay at Jambo House) and the washer and dryer.

In a studio, you'll get a single shampoo, a single shower gel and a single conditioner. A bar of bath soap and a bar of hand soap. Every four days.
