Renting Points ?

I have already rented points for our upcoming June trip. We'd like to add an additional night at POP to the end of our trip. Since we're staying DVC for the majority of our trip, will Disney still transfer our luggage to POP? Also, how will this work with ME? I haven't given the person we're renting from our flight info. yet for ME but when I do can I give her the information for our return trip to the airport even though we'll be staying at POP instead of staying at a DVC property?

I was told that the flight information needs to be provided two weeks out in order to get the luggage tags in time. If you don't care about those, the info can be provided 48 hours prior.

Why not have the person you are renting from see if you can get an additional night at DVC rather than having to move?

Yes, WDW will transfer your luggage from DVC to another resort, DVC or other Disney resort. Bell services will come to your room and the next thing you know, it is at your new resort! We have done this numerous times.

As far as luggage tags at the end of your trip, you won't need them and WDW doesn't even provide them, as you have to check your own luggage in either at the airport or at your Disney resort. Most airlines have check-in right at the Disney resort. If you don't check in at the resort, you put your own luggage on the bus and check-in at the airport. It is all a really easy process.

If you are going to be staying at POP for an extra night, you can set up ME to return to the airport as part of that reservation. I don't know if MS will be able to add a ME reservation for the day after you check out of the DVC room.

The owner can add ME for the arrival day without issue. You don't have to do the return at the same time.

Let me ask a question for my knowledge, if I have arranged Magical Express for someone renting points from me and they don't receive their luggage tags from DVC before they leave, is there a backup that is a available?

Do they just report to the DVC welcome center at the airport and get some there?

If, for some reason, they don't get their yellow ME luggage tags, they will need to retrieve their luggage from baggage claim and take it to the ME with them. It will be loaded on the bus with them, just like they load your carry-ons. While it may not be as convenient, the nice thing is that they won't have to wait for the luggage to be delivered later in the day.
