Renting points

If I were to rent points for Sept/Oct when would I be able to rent them/make the reservation? This would still fall under the 11month or 7month out rule right?

If you want to reserve more than 7 months in advance you need to find a DVC member who owns points at the resort where you want to stay. DVC members can make reservations with home resort points starting 11 months from the check in date. They can make reservations using non-home resort points starting 7 months from check in. Look for "Points for Rent" threads on the DVC Rent/Trade board that specify the resort(s) you are interested in in the title of their posts.

As an example, as of today (Nov 28, 2010) members can book with home resort points for stays beginning on Oct 28, 2011. They can book with non-home resort points for stays beginning on June 28, 2011.
