Renting points ?

We are interested in a short trip and are considering either Dec. 16-19 or Jan. 1-5. I was wondering which dates would be easier to get when attempting to rent points? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

If you are talking about THIS year, then both are going to be very difficult, if not impossible. My guess is that Dec. 16-19 might be a possibility with waitlisting, but if I were renting points, I would NOT want the uncertainty of a waitlist. DVC accommodations book up very early for December and New Years. In fact, I think New Years has been sold out DVC-wide for quite awhile already. There are plenty of folks on a waitlist ahead of you.

And that waitlist for December is apparently pretty long. You might post and see if someone has an already confirmed ressie that they are not going to use, but that is a long shot.

I would make other arrangements on site to be sure I had a room.

Both time frames are going to be difficult this late in the game. Most members book these dates 11 months ahead of time.
