Renting Points & UPH discount

I was wondering what past experience is with receiving the DVC discount of 10% of UPH pass when renting points. Does anyone ask if you are a guest or a renter of points? I won't lie, but I won't turn the discount down either. I'm trying to figure out the cheapest options for my tickets next year.

I don't recall hearing that anyone has been denied the discount, including renters. Maybe someone knows of an isolated case. But there's no way to guarantee renters will get it until you are standing at the counter.
