Renting points question?

We have recently run into financial difficulty and I am thinking we will probably need to sell some of our DVC points. We have never done this before and I was wondering if someone could give me any information about how to do this, and where to go to do this? this is definitely not something we want to do, but unfortunately are going to have to do, so I would really appreciate any help or information you can give me..thank you in advance

There is a DVC Rent/trade thread that deals with point rentals on the DIS. Here you can do some research.

You have two main options... you can either rent them yourself by posting and screening potential buyers... or you can go through a third party (like David's DVC Rental.. you will see his ad) who will do most of the work for you. Good luck.

it's not that hard to rent yourself, just post an add on the board. or, to keep it simple, let daddio rent. do this asap, the further out from expiry date, the more likely you will be to rent and at a decent price. good luck.

Just to echo previous post, renting the points is relatively easy, just takes some time and effort on your part. The more time you have the better (makes finding reservations easier and you;ll get a better price).

You can always try David's rental service, if you don't have the time or feel uncomfortable doing so yourself.
