Renting points or reservations

Just looking for opinions from people who have rented their points from www.dvctrentalstore.com. They are really amazing! But here's my question. I plan to be renting some of our points for at least a couple of years. You can either rent your points or your reservations. Which is your preference and why. I'm thinking I'd rather snag a reservation and rent that because I may not be able to jump on a call telling me I need to reserve my points within a certain timeframe. Pro/con opinions welcomed!

There is another option. You log in and can see the list of reservations which have been requested. You choose the one (s) you want to book and click on them. The agency emails you with the info needed to book. So you sort of have control over the timing - don't click on it when you're on your way to work or whatever.

With David's, you tell them about your points. They send you an email when they have somebody for whom you can book.

I don't think either of them calls you.

The problem with making a resie and hoping to find a taker is that you might not find a taker. I would find that more stressful but clearly a lot of people go this route because there are tons listed.

As a person who has rented out my points many times, I never rent a reservation. I feel it narrows down my pool of renters.

This is how I've done and have been very happy. I've found that it allows me to pick multiple smaller requests and get closer to the total number of points I want to rent out.

You'll find a larger base of potential renters if you let them choose the dates.

The only time I've ever rented a reservation I made for myself was for a 4 night long weekend studio stay in October 2021 (first month of the 50th anniversary), about 90 days before the date of the reservation. I had a taker within a day, probably because there was literally no availability for October at any monorail resort at that time.
