We have all of our points from last year plus this year and will not be using. I posted ont he renting site but we will be going to Disneyland in the fall. I wanted to make sure that I could rent out my pointsfrom last year but still keep my original points from this year.

As renting is just you making a reservation, you can specify which points are used first. Note that, in general, the closer you get to the expiry of the points, the less you will be able to rent them for.

Your post is a bit confusing, but if you are asking if you can use your 2012 points ("this year", but of course that depends on when your use year is), and rent out your 2011 points ("last year"), yes, you should be able to do that, in a generic sense.

When is your use year and when is your planned trip and how many points is it going to use?

There is no way we are going to use all of these so without them going to waste I am trying to figure out how to go about renting them. I guess I can just keep rolling them over.

If you mean using your banked points from last year first, then banking this years points, yes, you are correct. I generally do this in the opposite direction, and consistently borrow from next years points (I will be in my 90's when my contracts expire, so I'm not really worried about that last year when I have nothing left to borrow!)

You might want to look into Davids' rentals. Depends on your resort and how many points, but certain places are more in demand than others (i guess he has specific clients.) It's worth looking into, and he will do the work for you. With two years worth of points, it might be easier for him to do. Good luck. My fear when buying was getting too much. I'd rather have to rent or borrow points, then be stuck with too many.

I generally also follow this rule...borrow from the next year...so they way for the OP to get to that point would be to rent the banked points...use this years points and then book another trip using next years points...and if you think thats too much...just roll them over to me since we never seem to have enough

Thank you so much. I just hate to lose them. I guess we could just use our banked pts for our vacation this year and roll this years again.
