We're interested in renting points for two rooms ....................(snip)...... Ideally we'd like for the two rooms to be next to each other, across the hall, or adjoining. Is this possible to arrange, is this something the person we rent points sets up? How is the request handled with the resort? Is it something that can be confirmed, or is it simply a request that they will try to arrange, but not guarantee? Thanks!

Rooms adjacent are a request.

The owner makes all requests.

Getting your villas close to one another is a request the person you rent from will have to make when they make your reservation (altho on check-in you can ask for changes)...they may have to call to do so; not sure that kind of a request can be done via online booking...when you check in, if you're not close together, you can ask for one or both of your parties to be moved so that you are close together...depending on what villas are available on your check-in day, the front desk folks may be able to do that for you...

In my experience, when I bring guests (in a different villa) Disney always seems to put us "together" (next door or across the hall or something like that), whether I ask for it or not, when I make the reservations at the same time...in fact, they do so even if it means not granting a request I did make (e.g., I REALLY like ground floor...more than once, they've put me on a higher floor, next to my guests, on the theory that I'd rather be next to my guests)...if you tell your owner to tell MS when they make the reservations that the occupants of the two villas are traveling together, there's a good chance they'll place you close-ish ...

But it's no more than a request...no guarantees...

At the time the reservations are made, the owner who is renting the points to you can request that Member Services indicate that the two reservations are traveling together and they want to be close to one another.

Requests that the villas be adjacent to one another are just that, requests. They cannot be confirmed and cannot be guaranteed. We had a family gathering in June at BLT and booked three two-bedroom Lake View villas. All three villas were on the same floor. Two of the villas (7702 and 7705) were across the hall from one another and the third (7737) was at the opposite end of the floor. Even though one villa was further away from the other two, it wasn't an issue for us. BLT has a rather compact layout and it doesn't take long to get from one spot to another.

If you are looking at two studios, studios never connect to another studio. They do connect to a one bedroom villa to make a two bedroom lockoff.

Each studio will always need to have an adult (age 18 or older) in the room. So they don't work well for a larger family with three or more children.

Having two studios close to each other is just a request. They might be one on top of the other (one on one floor and the other on a floor above or below). They might be on two different wings. At OKW and SSR, they might be in two different buildings. Plus at some locations, they might be two different booking categories - standard one side of the hallway, preferred on the other side of the hallway.

As mentioned. Getting rooms close is a request. We just checked in to BWV a few days ago and my DDs were two doors down the hall...we had a 1 bedroom and a atudio and had hoped theyed be next to each other so we could open the door, but it wasn't possible--

So, be prepared that two DVC rooms could be farther than you want....
