Renting points and paying for DDP?

We are DVC owners but are renting points to add a few nights to our reservation. Do we get the other owner to add on the DDP and do we pay them for the plan so they can pay Disney???? We used to just pay on arrival and I know that has now changed. Thanks!

Since it will have to be paid for when added it would depend how the owner wants to handle the transaction. Some buy a Disney gift card then the owner does a three way call to add and pay for it, this way the owner does not have your credit card number.

i'm a DVC owner who recently rented out points. they rentees wanted to add DDP but only I (the owner) could add it for them. i found out the total of the DDP, they paid me (plus the fee%) through paypal, then i added it with my credit card and made sure that DVC did NOT put my credit card linked to their "general" account.

thats how i did it
