Renting out DVC Points

Hello all,

I need to rent out points I have for ** that I have for **. I will not be able to use my points this year due to job loss. Any pointers would be appreciated. Thanks

The place to start is the DIS DVC Rent/Trade Board. First read all of the "stickies" at the top of the page, including any links within the stickies. That will give you a lot of info on how things are done, as well as the specifics of using the Rent/Trade Board. If you have specific questions after reading all of that, come back here and ask.



Also remember that if you rent a ressie during *** period, if there is a cancellation, you are going to be in a big jam because you won't be able to bank. For ressies after ***, I'd make the deal strictly non-cancelable and non-refundable. The renter can get trip insurance to cover their risk.

I'd be very cautious about borrowing points to complete a ressie.

We always use a contract when renting our points. It protects both us and renters and generally makes people feel a little more secure about renting points from owners.
