Renting out confirmed reservations

Have a reservation for this month that I'm considering renting out instead of cancelling/putting points in holding (stupid omicron!). I was considering renting out the reservation at the DVC Rental Store and was wondering if people had any experience with renting points out there. Also, noticed that they have a tiered system for renting out points and since the reservation is s in the <7 month range, it'd be in the bronze category ($14.50/point). Some of the confirmed reservations for rent look to be in the $20-23/point range. Can members give their own price that they want to receive for these reservations? Or are these dynamic prices the broker sets and members just receive the $14.50 for reservations less than 7 months. Thanks!

Have you tried calling for an exception so your points may not go into holding? Try different CMs if the first one isn’t as understanding….

You can also use the rental site on disboards, as well…

Thank you not posting any details. From my understanding, the company pays the owner the same rate regardless of what they will be listing it for on their website.

Nope. You would have to do it on your own vs. using a third party.

I just tried to rent out my late Jan trip through them and they were very easy to work with and very responsive to emails. They ask you what the lowest price per point you are willing to accept is. We ended up pulling the reservation off the market though when we found something in March that would fit in our schedule better.
