I would like to place a reservation on the Rent/trade board. I have read over the must read section and I just want to make sure I read right. Does the reservation I wish to rent have to be within 30 days?

Yes, unless you purchase a Premium Rental Plan.

Also the reservation cannot be for exactly 7 nights if it begins with a Friday, Saturday or Sunday.

Friday to Sunday is OK. Unless you have 50 non-Rent/Trade posts distributed fairly evenly over the last six months, you would need to purchase the $24.05 Gold PLan to offer the reservation st 30 days out or less. If you want to offer a reservation more than 30 days out, you'd need the $199.95 Premium Plan.
