Renting or buying points

I was wondering if it is a difficult process to buy points from this site. How do you go about doing this and was it a problem. I may be looking to get more points for a Feb trip.

Buying and renting are two different things. If you buy points, they are yours to use until 2042 or 2054 (SSR), provided you pay the maintenance fees. Cost runs anywhere from about $82-99/point. If you rent points, a DVC member will make a reservation for you using their points. It's a one time thing, unless they choose to make additional reservations for you in the future. Cost runs anywhere from $8-14/point.

You can buy directly from Disney or a reseller like the one at the top of the page.

If you want to rent a reservation, go to the Rent/Trade Board and post your request. Make sure you read the FAQs at the top of the page prior to posting your request.
