Renting or bringing stroller?

We are going to WDW next April/may. DS will be 4 then. He never uses a stroller anymore, but it is likely we will need one at WDW.
I am debating whether to bring our Britax blink or rent a city mini. The rental price seems pretty steep, but I much rather not have to haul around a stroller in the airport and the city mini will be an easier stroller to push. Since we have a car, I also have to bring or rent a car seat, we have Diono Radian we have checked with our bags successfully before. I am leaning towards bringing the car seat and renting the stroller
Advice?

I personally was happy I rented. I didn't want to check my nice stroller (a baby jogger city elite) so I rented one from orlando stroller rental. The price was steep because we fell just into a week's worth of rental for a short trip, but I didn't have to worry about loss or damage to my own stroller or hauling it through the airport.

Our choice was easy bc despite DD1 never using a stroller I know she'll need one in Disney. So we rented a double city mini since we don't own one. The price was a bit steep but cheaper than the $400 to buy one

We've only brought a stroller the very 1st trip we took with our then 2 year old. I didn't know you could rent strollers back then, otherwise we would've rented. It's so much easier just renting, that and we've driven from NY a few times and wouldn't of had the space. We've rented from magic strollers and kingdom strollers....both great experiences!

We bought a nice lightweight stroller for my then five year old- since we hadn't had one in years. I was happy to have a nice clean one, especially in the Orlando airport! We didn't use it in the MK since everything is so close together, but it was fantastic everywhere else. At first my son balked at getting in, but a yummy snack and a hot tired kid was an easy match. When we got home I sold it on Craigslist for $20 less than I paid for it- saying it was used for only one week. Worked out great!

We weren't excited about checking our nice stroller so we bought a used double city mini off a Facebook moms group. It cost about the same as renting and we get to keep it for the next time we need a cheap stroller.

We brought one simply for safety reasons in the airport. We had a layover in Atlanta. It was a lot easier to put him in the stroller and go then let him walk even while holding his hand. People get crazy in airports trying to get to their connections. Little man would never use a stroller in our hometown, but he was just fine using it in the airport and WDW. The crowds made him nervous, and it was like a safety net for him, lol.

We are renting a city mini for our now 4yo (will be 5 yo). They are really nice strollers - nicer than the light weight we have (and haven't used in several years) and I am really glad we don't have to worry about lugging it around the airport. We've rented doubles in the past when the boys were 4 and 20 months (and 3 and 8mo) and it was easy and worth it imo - we had no use for a double at home.

Side note - for the car seat check out the ride safer travel vest. They are pricey for a one time use, but it is a vest that the kiddo wears and acts as a car seat! You can put it in your carry-on. We ended up getting one for our upcoming trip as I didn't want to risk gate checking on the plane and you never know what you're going to get renting or if it was in an accident. Only downside is they can't be used on the plane.

I bought a nice (cheap!) sit 'n stand stroller for $20 on cragislist just for our upcoming trip. The color is a weird lime green, not something I would have normally picked, but it's perfect for the trip. We of course sold our stoller at a yardsale before we knew we were going to WDW. We may or may not leave it at the hotel for another family when we leave, we'll see when the trip is over. We don't need a stroller at home anymore.

Check craigslist, you never know what you will find!

We have rented in the past, but I liked the City Mini so much we bought one. I think we are bringing it this time around. We have a double and will likely need the stroller at least for the youngest at the airport.

I would (and have) rent the stroller. DD is was 8 months and 15 months when we took her and we preferred to baby wear her through the airport rather than have her in the stroller. We had enough stuff to deal with, we didn't want to deal with a stroller too. Renting the City Mini in FL was the best decision we made! We've used Apple Strollers and Kingdom Strollers and have had great experiences with both.

We have rented 3 times from Magic Strollers for our twin grandsons and were so glad we did. The stroller was in excellent condition, easy to get on and off the buses, and delivered right to our resort. Great experience!

I LOVE renting and I'll never deal with bringing a stroller again! Well, I might still bring the umbrella for the airport for the littlest, but I LOVE having a double stroller in the parks! I used Apple Strollers and they were absolutely amazing. :goodvibes

Thanks!
apple strollers is a reasonable price
so I am renting for sure

Looked into renting and decided on purchasing a nice umbrella type stroller to take along instead. The factor that swayed my decision was having the stroller at the airports. We gate checked ours on each leg of our trip and it was so nice to have to transport her between gates when we had to hustle! And when we didn't need it we still opened it up and used it for our carry on bags!

At WDW it was nice to always have our own clean seat available for my DD to have a snack or hold a spot for the parades. Sometimes I think the crowds can get a little overwhelming for a child to walk through (all they see is legs!) so our DD was happy to hop in to go between attractions or at the end of the day she could rest on the walk out of the park.
