Hi Does anyone know if you can rent points for disney cruise? If so could you e-mail list of points for May 2004. Want a 3 day cruise for 3 adults with a verandah. Also this would be my first time renting. How save is renting? Has anyone had any problems? After you pay for points how can I guarantee the reservation would not be cancelled by dvc owner? Sorry about all the questions am new at this. THANKS:bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc :earseek:  Glenda dgus@lakefield.net

I'm not sure I understand why you would want to rent points to cruise. We are using DVC for our cruise this year and it will be the last time I use points for a cruise unless I have excess points that I just need to use. You have to pay $75 to make your reservations, if you make ANY changes to your reservations you have to pay another $75. Usually if you shop around you can get a better price on the cruise than what the $10 per point would cost you.

So my advice, use a TA and just book your cruise with them. I have used Dreams Unlimited:

and they are wonderful. I have also used AAA (my experience wasn't great, but others have used them and been happy) and I have also booked directly through Disney Cruise Line, which worked out fine. Shop around and see what kind of price you can get. You can usually do better than the 'official' quote from Disney Cruise Line.
