I don't see that it's an option that can be booked through Dreams so I hope I am not stepping on any toes or breaking any rules to ask for a recommendation on a trusted broker (or owner) through which to rent a Marriott Vacation Club stay. We are looking for a Saturday-Saturday rental in February at one of the Marriott properties at World Center (Sabal, Royal, or Imperial Palms). I'm not trying to rent here as I know that's not allowed. I have a lot of contacts for Wyndham timeshare rentals but none for Marriott and I don't like the prices I see on eBay. Nothing on Tug or Redweek that I can tell. I can rent directly through Marriott but was hoping to beat that price too. Any contacts?

Thanks in advance!!

I also recommend TUG. You are within a 45 day travel window which qualifies for their "Last Minute Rentals". I suggest you join and post a request for what you are looking for. There are quite a few Marriott Vacation Club owners on TUG. Maybe someone will be able to help you out. Good luck.

You can also look at redweek; I am Marriott owner (we own 2 weeks at Ko Olina right by Aulani), but have rented from other owners as well from redweek.

I agree with TUG too; I got a last minute rental there once for a one bedroom Boardwalk villa over spring break (got super lucky with that one; $100/night).

Do you have any friends at all that have a timeshare with Interval International? If so, they can search “getaways”, and if they find a week that works, can add a “guest certificate” to put it in your name and give it to you. Good luck!

Just an FYI (relates to posting a request to rent on TUG): One time I wanted to rent a second Marriott unit in West Palm Beach (had a timeshare trade for the first one and didn't see any good rentals) so I posted a request to rent on TUG. I got a response the next day. A woman who was planning to use her Marriott points for a cruise rented to me instead for a good price for me and a better deal for her than the cruise discount. Cash vs. discount gave her more flexibility too. This gave me the two two-bedroom units at the Marriott timeshare I wanted to stay at for my extended family group. Marriott retail prices would have been completely out of my budget for the unit.

If any of your contacts with Wyndham have Interval accounts, I see Imperial Palms for about $1,000 for a week Feb 20-27, Royal Palms a bit less same week on getaways. That’s high for a getaway, but still better than going direct with Marriott.
