Renting DVC w/ split stay and DDP?

We are renting DVC and doing 5 nights VWL and 2 nights BCV. Also adding the dining plan. Can we just add for the 5 nights at VWL and wing it while staying at BCV?

or, since the DVC DP isn't tied to anything except room nights, you could get it for your stay at BCV too.

Yes, you can.

the dining is plan is per reservation, not per vacation, so as long as you had two different reservation numbers for those stays, you could definitely only put the dining plan on one of the reservation numbers and not the other

We're doing this for our trip in May. We have a two-bedroom at BCV that we're sharing with friends. When they leave DH and I are heading to OKW. We added the dining plan to the OKW part of the trip so we can try it out and see how it works for us.
