Renting DVC pts for the 1st time...

...so what do I ask the DVC member I am renting from? Do you have any tips on what I need to make sure of/verify from the DVC member to make sure I get what I want and everything is legit?? Thanks!

Hi fellow Lake Villa resident!!
We rented points before we purchased DVC. The owner I rented from lived in the UK. We had contract and payment was sent through paypal. He also sent me the original confirmation letter.

I read your request on the rent and trade board. The only thing I think you should be prepared for is that BWV Standard Villas are very hard to get, especially in early Dec. You might need to change your request to preferred view.

You will love the Boardwalk location as well as the villas.

HEY!!!!!!! Do you have any pts I can rent from??? I'm hearing that the standard view would be hard to come by, but I already have 2 offers. why are they hard to come by at this time??

A fellow friend from Lake Villa also recommended BWV so that is why I am going to choose that.

Sorry no points to rent!! We use all of ours and we have already borrowed some our 2007 points for our October trip.

Since Standard view are lower pts and early Dec. is very popular for DVC members. Most BWV owners call on the first day of the 11 month booking window for the Standard view booking day by day, usually they are gone within hours of each day.

Good Luck in your search for pts. The villas are wonderful, we love having the extra space and the kitchen for quick meals and snacks.
