Renting DVC property- best way to go about it

jenny, I rented pts for April. I put out a thread for the date and resorts I prefered.Once I received a reply I was interested in we made the plans. The member called disney made the reservation. He then sent me the confirmation letter from Disney. I paid him by Paypal. I would not have paid until I received the confirmation letter.Hope this helps.

It does help. The more I hear about successful transactions, the more sense it makes to rent points. The owner makes a little money I would think and we renters get to stay DVC at a less expensive rate and stay somewhere cool.

Sammie, of course, me in my little planning bubble, never thought about the risk to the owner. Duh! I feel like a goof. It obviously takes trust on both and knowledge on both parts. Well hopefully I will illicit some trust in one of the owners here.
