Renting DVC points

I'm new here and am looking to rent DVC points. I want to understand fully how many points I need first. When looking at the chart for Magic Season Animal Kingdom Villas(Savanna View) Sun - Thursday rentals shows 50 points. Is that the total points needed or per night total?

That will be the amount of points needed per night, for a Sun, Mon, Tue, Wed or Thu night during that time period. If you are looking for points to rent we have a rent/trade board here on the DIS (link).

I use Davids DVC calculator- Put in my dates and it comes up with exactly what it is I need to pay. What I learned since my first time-- finding points is not the problem-- Finding availability at that resort you are wanting. If you are looking at 11 months in advance your chances of finding availability if hight. 7 months not so good- your options are saratoga Springs and Old Key West.

Come on over to the DVC forums. There is so much you need to know about renting DVC. There are many positives, but there are some cons as well. We are DVC owners and when we need to rent out points we use a third party. That is something you might want to consider.
