REnting DVC points

we are renting points in September at AKV - Kidani for 10 nights. We are going to purchase the Dining Plan when we get there.
Do they have the "key to the World" cards as your dining plan card?
WE are buying our tickets seperately, so how do we redeem our Dining Plan??

You have to add the dining plan to the reservation prior to going. You can not just do it at check in. If the DVC member you are renting from has already added it for you, then yes, you will pay for it at check in.

The plan credits will be on your KTTW card and have nothing to do with tickets.

The DVC owner will need to add the dining plan at least 48 hours before check in. As stated above the DDP has nothing to do with your park tickets, however, you can add your park tickets to your room key/card when you check in if you'd like.

I think those upgrades have to be done at guest services at one of the parks or DtD.

We purchased passes on ebay last year for all 6 of us for 2 different days. We went to guest services at our resort, and they added them to our KTTW cards. It was no problem, and I would think it would work very similarly for the Give a Day, Get a Day certificates.

Give a day is redeamed at the parks only after you enter.

If you've added a Dining Plan to your reservation - and a promotion comes out for free dining - can this be applied to your reservation? Or do these promotions not count for DVC?

No free dining or DVC Reservations, only on full priced rack-rate cash reservations. No resort discount promotions apply to DVC. Remember that when you rent points, the modest profit goes to the DVC Owner, not Disney. There is not reason for Disney to offer an incentive if there is no monetary offset for them.
